RES Statistics 2018 of Eurostat

Eurostat presented renewable energy statistics for 2018. The share of renewable energy in the total energy mix went up to 18% compared to 17.5% in 2017. The goal for 2020 is 20%. A number of countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Croatia, Estonia and Bulgaria have already passed their targets by quite a bit. A group of others are still far removed from their targets: The Netherlands and France still have to do most to reach their targets (6.6 and 6.4 percentage points respectively).
